Worship With Us

Everyone is welcome to worship at Holy Trinity. We recognize that the Episcopal order of service (or liturgy) is more complicated than some other traditions, so our service bulletins at the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services are designed to have everything you need: scripture, music, and prayers. Throughout the bulletin, directions give a heads up about what is coming next (for example, when to kneel and when to stand). Our style of worship tends to involve the whole body and all the senses, thus we offer our whole selves in praise and thanksgiving.

All baptized Christians, regardless of denomination, are welcome to receive Eucharist. Those not baptized or who choose not to receive communion may come to the altar rail for a blessing.

Children are always welcome in worship. Green worship bags in the Narthex during the Sunday 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services contain a variety of quiet ways to occupy small hands. Please return the bags after the service.

Wednesdays

5:30 p.m., Stillpoint, All Saints Chapel

A service for all ages, this is an opportunity to find that “still point” in the middle of one’s busy week. The format includes a 30-minute Eucharist with contemplative music in the Taizé tradition led by Riley Walker and band with Dr. Ben Brafford. There also is contemporary music with familiar songs and hymns. A host family serve as greeters and lectors each week. The first Wednesday of the month has a healing emphasis. The Children’s Choir sings on the second Wednesday of the month.

There are several opportunities for worship, fellowship, and study on Wednesday nights during the program year, September – May. Please check the Get Engaged brochure for current offerings, which include:

  • Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners are family-friendly fellowship events offered during the program year (September – May) for a reasonable fee with a family cap. There is a sign-up link here and or you can call the church at 336-272-6149 to reserve your spot.

  • TWIGS (Those With Infinitely Greater Sense) is a community of inquisitive friends who get together regularly for fellowship and learning. During the program year, they meet most Wednesdays at 4 p.m. in Roe Library for Bible study and discussion of the lectionary readings for the following Sunday. Then, most of the group enjoys the Wednesday Night Dinner together in Haywood Duke Room. Read the ePistle for summer outings.
